Grant FAQ
The attention from Impact Austin focused the agency and its supporters on one of the agency's (many) extraordinary programs in a way that hadn't happened before. This focus generated excitement, more site visits, and eventually the attention of higher-profile community supporters, who continue to give the agency more visibility and financial support. The grant and the wonderful results it produced also served as incentive for the Men of Honor program. We are well on our way to the $100,000 fund-raising goal, a goal that wouldn't have come to be without the inspiration of the Impact Austin grant. Finally, the grant helped us transition from asking donors to support the organization in a general way to asking the community to underwrite a
specific program to address an unanswered need. Suki says it was the first time ever the agency has ever asked the public for money for a specific program. The success of the change in focus will no doubt have a long-lasting (and beneficial) effect on the organization. Yea, Impact Austin!
